Colour Analysis Session By Akeila Bespoke Tailors

What Is Colour Analysis?

Every day, you make colour choices. The question is: based on what? This is an essential question because colours impact how others perceive you.

Most people choose a colour because "it looks nice." But we take a different approach: We do a colour analysis and build you a colour profile. This is a collection of the right colours for you. It helps you to understand which colours complement your natural eye, skin and hair colour and which ones don't. This way, you will make confident colour choices that flatter you and make you more attractive.

See below examples of how the right and wrong colour palettes impact your appearance.

Colour analysis is included in all bespoke commissions and will be done in our Akeilā studio. But you can also order it here as a separate online service.

Right and Wrong–
Examples of colour palettes

Li

Colour Analysis Good Colour Palette Example

These colours bring our attention to the upper part of Li's face. They highlight his eyes and brows and make eye contact more natural. The beige complements his darker skin tone, while the white bridges the black and beige for a crisp, fresh look.

Colour Analysis Bad Colour Palette Example

These colours compete for attention. While the ivory and red could work together, the light brown undermines everything; it blends too closely with his skin tone, making it hard to distinguish the edges of his face from his clothing. This weakens his natural strong jawline.

Tim

Colour Analysis Good Colour Palette Example

Here we have a balanced mix of warm and cool hues. The dark pink adds vibrancy by enhancing his skin tone. The green complements his eyes and hair. The white accentuates the highlights of his face, making him look more lively.

Colour Analysis Bad Colour Palette Example

These colours are unrelated to his facial features and their combination makes it worse. The yellow dominates and pulls our attention away from his face. The blue is useless and fades into the background. The grey could work with the yellow in a graphic way. But near his face, it neutralises the highlights, and makes him look dull.

Eric

Colour Analysis Good Colour Palette Example

This palette is calm and complements Eric’s face. The muted beige allows his natural skin tone to stand out. The green contrasts the beige without clashing, while the grey adds calmness. This palette allows him to wear bold hues without screaming for attention.

Colour Analysis Bad Colour Palette Example

These colours are too close to his skin tone. The red and brown could work with a lighter colour replacing the grey. But in this palette, they blend with the shadows and highlights of his skin, and make his less vibrant.

Mounir

Colour Analysis Good Colour Palette Example

This palette is simple and effective; The beige lets his darker skin tone take center stage, while the dark pink accentuates his lips. The white frames his face by harmonising with the highlights of his hair. This directs our attention to his eyes.

Colour Analysis Bad Colour Palette Example

Here the colours are repetitive and compete with his face. This is a failed monotone palette. They make his hair the main focal point and remove our attention away from his eyes. With this palette, all we see is beard and hair!

Colour Profile Example by Akeilā Bespoke Tailors London

Example of a Colour Profile, in which your colours are organised into three categories. This is one of three pages. The other two are palettes that we recommend for each season and tips on how to create your own combinations.

To do your colour analysis and make your colour profile, we require a portrait photo of you. After placing your order, you'll receive an instruction file with guidelines on how the photo should be taken for best results. Once we receive your photo, we will begin to create your colour profile.

When your colour profile is ready, we will send you a link to your personal portal in which you can access your colour profile. It usually takes 14 days to complete your colour profile from the moment we receive and approve your photo.

Important: Your Colour Analysis is done by us in our studio and never by another company or automated software. We spend hours selecting the colours that will best complement you before including them in your profile. All recommendations we make are by us and not done with a random colour palette generator.
